Abstract (EN)
In the present study, microbiological qualities of surface water obtained in the creek of Boğacık (Giresun) were studied. 60 water samples, collected from surface waters in monthly, were used as material. Microbiologically; 22 and 37 ºC total viable counts, total coliform bacteria, fecal coliform bacteria, fecal streptococci and E. coli analysis were done. The result of this study have indicated that an important proportion of bacteria isolated from waters contaminated with fecal waste discharges and this situtiation carries a potential risk for publich health.
