Preparation of boron doped thin film coatings by sol-jel method and characterization

Abstract (EN)

In this study, silica thin film (SIF), boron doped silica thin film (SBIF), zinc oxide thin film (ZnO) and boron doped zinc oxide thin films were prepared by sol-gel technique, and they were coated on glass surface by dip coating method. Obtained silica thin film solution were applied on glass surface, then thin films were dried at 25oC and 100oC, respectively. Thickness, surface roughness measurements and UV-visible spectrofotometric measurements to defined optical properties of the thin films were performed. IR spectra of boron doped silica (SBIF) and undoped silica thin films (SIF) solutions were taken and effect of boron on thin film properties were discussed. IR spectrum of unpoped zinc oxide (ZnO) thin film solution couldn't be measured, but IR spectrum of boron doped zinc oxide ZnB) thin film solution were performed. Effect of boron doping on thin film properties were discussed by compare with literature data. Thickness, surface roughness measurements and UV-visible spectrofotometric measurements of the ZnO thin film and ZnB thin film were performed.
