Abstract (EN)

In this study, high density polyethylene (HDPE) was produced as filament by extruding by mixing 5%, 10% and 15% by weight with colemanite, ulexite and boroxide minerals consisting of boron minerals. These filaments were then clipped and used as raw material for the injection molding process. The produced samples were subjected to tensile, bending and impact tests and their mechanical properties were examined. Experimental data showed that the colemanite group showed higher tensile strength and strength than the other groups in the tensile test of the samples. In addition, in the impact test of the samples, the impact strength of the pure HDPE sample was higher than the other added minerals. In the three-point bending test, the bending strengths of the samples were almost at the same level, and 10% doped colemanite / HDPE gave the best results. Physical properties were examined with SEM, EDS and XRD tests, and TGA and DSC experiments were performed using thermal analysis method, and the test results were used in the thesis.
