Abstract (EN)
In this study, investigations on success of late summer plantings of oriental spruce (Picea orientalis L. Link.) in mountain zone at borcka balci region. Oriental spruce (Picea orientalis L. Link.) plantation in Artvin-Borcka Balci region planted at the end of summer and autumn in 2010 was evaluated.The measurements were done on 4 sample plots. There have been 300 seedlings on each sample plot. Heights and root collar diameters were measured on the field. Survival rate of the seedlings was defined. Also, regarding to sample plots, physiographic characteristics such as slope, aspect, elevation above sea level were determined on field. In the laboratory, soil pH, texture, and organic matter were defined by some analysis.According to Analysis of Variance, it was found that the planting time and aspect affected the height, and root collar diameter. It was found that no factors affected the survival rate of the seedlings with 95 percent confidence level.
