Evaluation of the financial performance of manufacturing companies traded in Borsa Istanbul using the Entropy-TOPSIS method: An application on BIST Main Metal Industry Sector

Financial analysis and performance evaluation are important for the continuity of companies' activities and to have an idea of the current situation of the sector. In this study, the financial performance of the main companies in the metal industry sector, which are included in the XMANA index in Borsa Istanbul and whose public offering took place 5 years ago or more, was analyzed using the ratio analysis method, with their financial data between 2019. and 2023. Using the companies' indicators as a result of ratio analysis, success ratings of financial performance were created using Entropi-TOPSIS methods. In the financial analysis section, liquidity ratios, financial structure, profitability and activity were used. It has been possible to compare and evaluate the results obtained with the application of Entropy-TOPSIS methods.
