The Examining of the Architectural Understanding of Bruno Taut in the Example of Trabzon High SchoolEarly Republic period was an era in which many innovations took place in almost every field. New projects ranging from education to fine arts were developed and introduced to society. Both native and non-native experts gave contributions to these studies and became pioneers in modernization of our country.Bruno Taut left great architectural works to Turkey. These works still have great importance in Turkish Architecture. Especially, it is important to explain his architectural understanding which may well be exampled in the educational buildings by examining and analyzing them. Considering this, it is important to make architectural analysis of Trabzon High School which was designed by Bruno Taut and has had great contributions to our education.The study consists of four chapters.In the first chapter, we introduced the study and gave our aim.In the second chapter, we dealt with the architectural studies and contributions of foreign architects to those studies in the Early Republican Period. We studied Bruno Taut?s life, architecture, and works and especially his influence on Turkish architecture, and finally, we examined and did architectural analysis of Trabzon High School which is one of the most important educational buildings designed by Bruno Taut.
