Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Determination of Sulfate Pulping Condition of Wheat (Tiriticum durum L.) Straw Using sulfate method pulping from wheat straw and reed has been produced in SEKA-Afyon pulp mill. To increase the yield and properties of pulp, it is suggested that these two raw materials be cooked separately. In this respect, to determine the best cooking condition for wheat straw using sulfate method. Different pulping trials were conducted by changing active alkali charge, cooking time and sülfidite charge in cooking solution. First, chemical analyses were done on Tirilicum durum L. that was chosen as a different species. Second, 19 cooking indicated above were conducted. Data obtained were then analyzed statistically and best cooking condition were determined as shown below: Active alkali charge Time at max. temperature Sülfidite charge Max.
