Abstract (EN)

The Balkans was a geograph where Turks lived intensely under the rule of the Ottoman Empire. However, with the weakening of the Ottoman Empire, it started to come out of the Ottoman domination from the second half of the 19th century. Turks in the region also started to migrate to Anatolia. This migration became massive after the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War. In fact, the immigration wave that started continued for many years. As a result, the Turkish presence in the region rapidly decreased. Bulgaria is one of the countries where immigration from the Balkans to Anatolia is intense. During the migration process that started with the Ottoman-Russian War of 1877-1878 and continued until the 1990s, hundreds of thousands of Turks came to Anatolia, and hundreds of thousands of them died on the way. In fact, these migrations sometimes turned into a human tragedy depending on the relationship between the two countries. One of the periods of mass migration was after the Second World War, in the years 1950-1951. One of the places where immigrants were settled during these migrations is Seyhan province. Adana's Seyhan province has always been a preferred place in the settlement process of immigrants since the last period of the Ottoman Empire, as it is an important agriculture, trade and industrial center. The starting poinr of this study was the resettlement processese of the Bulgarian Turks, who were resettled in Seyhan in 1950-1951.
