This work; explaining the concept of Boutique Hotel by changing the accommodation structures according to the regulation, inadequate definitions in the literature and the problems encountered due to alternative certification. Describes different boutique hotel definitions and criteria to be a boutique hotel and aims to evaluate these criteria through the selected boutique hotel examples. According to this assessment, considering the definition and examples of the boutique hotel in the world, it is a fact that there are only a few of the features that a real boutique hotel has to host and that it will not make it a boutique hotel. The clarification of the definitions in the literature and certification from one unit and only the existence of boutique hotels affiliated to the Ministry of Tourism will ensure consistency in terms of both definition and supervision and eliminate the wrong choices in terms of tourism and will enable the users to make conscious choices.
