The air war in Great Attack

World aviation history has started at the first quarter of XXth century. In this period The Ottoman Empire, tried to keep pace with the developments which took place in the military aviation area. However The Ottoman Empire was defeated by Mondros Armistice after First World War. With Mondros Armistice The Ottoman Empire had been forced to disarm. For this reason The Turks lost all their gains in the military aviation area. Anatolia was occupied.Due to the occupation between 1919 and 1922 Turkish nation struggled for their independence. Turkish nation took action to get back their independence and to protect their lands.In this thesis in terms of Turkish military aviation, preperations which were performed before The Great Attack which started on 26 August 1922 and ended 30 August 1922, air battles which took place during the Attack and the pursuit operation which was executed after air battles are studied.
