Abstract (EN)

Art has always been a visual-aesthetic structure open to change, affected by all kinds of favorable or unfavorable circumstances and developments that directly or indirectly influence its era and the social structure in that era. It is equally affected by social and cultural affairs as well as technological breakthroughs and the opportunities contributing to these breakthroughs. Helping to analyze the guiding structure of nature, mathematics, fractal geometry, and concepts such as chaos and order in addition to the scientific theories created especially in the late 19th century and the new world ideas fed by these theories have also had a mark on art. And when we reach the 21st century's growth in digital possibilities, computer technology has developed features contributing to the art/design process and revealed the concepts of digital art and digital production with new exhibition possibilities. One of them is the parametric design created using a digital program. Parametric design, mostly employed in architecture, interior design, and industrial product design, has recently evolved into a technique allowing artists to diversify the materials they use when creating their works and to design the work of art with its space and for its space. This study will include leading parametric design examples associated with both architecture and art. This research aims theoretically and practically to represent the parametric design, a digital production method in contemporary art, by using sample works created to contribute to this field of art in terms of method and practice.
