Abstract (EN)
The use of composite materials has greatly increased in recent years due to its some characteristics such as high strength-to-weight ratios, high specific strength, high corrosion resistance, high toughness, high fracture strength and high dimensional properties. Due to the increased industrial applications of composite materials, for assembly these materials need hole. However, some problems such as deformation are encountered in the drilling of these materials. In this study, the effect of spindle speed, feed and cooling environment on the cutting force, delamination, surface roughness and temperature in drilling of glass fiber reinforced plastic (CETP) composites were investigated. Experiments were carried out at different drilling parameters (1000, 2000 and 3000 rpm spindle speed and 0.05, 0.1 and 0.15 mm/rev feed rate) and different cooling environments such as dry, pressure air and CO2 gas using WC drills. From the results obtained from the experiments, prediction models were developed using the fuzzy logic method.Then, the experimental results were compared with the values obtained from these models.
