Abstract (EN)
This study was aimed to identify Scarabaeidae species located in the forest boundaries of Kalkım Forest Enterprise Directorate in Yenice Town of Çanakkale province carried out between 2016-2019. Pit traps and light traps were used in field studies. The big or medium sized insect species walking around were picked up by hand. In this study, traps were placed within the boundaries of four forest districts (Kalkım, Eybekli, Kirsalan, Sarıot) of Kalkım Forest Enterprise Directorate. The collected species were transferred from the field to the laboratory and their preparations were made here. After all species were prepared, they were labeled with their own information and preserved in collection boxes. Species divided into subfamily and genus categories were identified and photographed in detail under a microscope. In this study, a total of 168 specimens of 6 sub-families, 11 tribes, 18 genera and 30 species belonging to the Scarabaeidae family were identified. This study is the first and original research about the Scarabaeidae family in Kalkım Forest Enterprise.
