Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to impart ferromagnetic properties to Cr-free high entropy alloy (Cr-free YEA) by adding an alternative metal atom instead of Cr, which decomposes at high temperatures. In this direction, different ratios of metal doping (x=0.0-0.5) were added to variants containing antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic elements to Cr-free YEA and the change in magnetic properties was investigated. While Cr-free YEA containing antiferromagnetic element showed similarities with Cantor alloy, the addition of paramagnetic element led to the formation of new phases. Although metal doping did not change the phase structure to a great extent, it provided some microstructural improvements. In terms of magnetic properties, the variants containing antiferromagnetic elements exhibited higher saturation magnetisation and coercivity, while those containing paramagnetic elements showed lower values. Metal doping caused significant differences in these values by changing the soft or hard magnetic properties of the alloys.
