Abstract (EN)
Due to technological developments, quality and production have increased, as a consequence of this, automation systems have become more important today.As a result of rapid increase in the need for automation systems, SCADA systems have gained importance. SCADA systems is a rapidly growing area which give importance to the software and industrial data communication. The most important advantage of the SCADA system is that it has the possibility of gathering and monitoring all processes in a single centre at the same time. Moreover, it saves time and labour force.In the first part, importance was given to the structure, working style of programmable logic controller. PLC systems, especially used in automation systems are introduced.In the second part, SCADA technology has been examined by considering the main elements of control units that form the SCADA systems, methods of communication and protocoles.In the final part, the automation systems available in tea factories from past until now have been examined and the applicability of the SCADA system used as the last modern techonology in tea factories have been analized.
