Moral education in Celâleddin Devvânî's work named Ahlâk-i Celâlî

Celâleddin Devvânî, who is famous for her work called Ahlâk-ı Celâlî, is one of the moral writers who dealt with moral education in a wide frame. İn her work, although he adheres to the traditional heritage, he revealed an understanding beyond her own age in terms of moral education. İts Ahlâk-ı Celâlî can be an important reference not only to its own age, but also to today's moral education approaches. As a matter of fact, the work is evaluated from a contemporary perspective and offers the opportunity to look at moral education in tradition culture from a different perspective. İn this study, the views of Celâleddin Devvânî, who is consered to be one of the important moral writers, about moral education in his work called Ahlâk-ı Celâlî were examined and it was tried to determine what this work meant in terms of the aims, principles and methods of education in terms of today's educational understanding. The research is limited to Devvânî's work named Ahlâk-ı Celâlî, and the opinions of the author within the framework of moral education have been classified and evaluated in terms of today's education branches and subjects.
