Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out to investigate the effects of IBA and cutting timings on rooting ability of Olea europaea L. For this purpose, green and hardwood cuttings were taken at 3 different vegetation periods in 2014 from Yusufeli, Artvin province. The collected cuttings then treated with IBA (0, 2000, 4000). The cuttings were placed into perlite+ peat moss rooting media. The rooting rate, root length and root numbers were determined during the study. According to obtained results, the best rooting performance was obtained from 4000 ppm IBA application. IBA 4000 ppm application was stimulated rooting of Olea europaea. Cuttings collected in February had statistically higher rooting percentage, root number and root length. In this study, it was determined that IBA concentrations and cutting timings had an affect on rooting percentage, root length and root number.
