Surah Talaq from the tafsir called "Ahkâmü'l Kur'ân" of cessâs and "El-Câmi'u li Ahkâmi'l Kur'an" of Kurtubî

Qur'an, which aims to ensure the happiness of all humanity in the world and the afterlife, has come with provisions regulating relationships among beliefs, worship, and people. The place where human relationships begin is family. Undoubtedly, the family is the most important and indispensable institution for human beings. Marriage, which is the foundation of the family, is one of the most important elements that ensure the protection of religion, which is the basis of all values. Although marriage is established to last a lifetime in principle, it can turn into sadness, distress and torture in the future. In such cases, divorce may be inevitable. For believers, it is necessary to abide by the boundaries of Allah when the marriage bond is not only established but dissolved as well. In this thesis, Surah Talaq, which deals with the provisions of divorce having an important place in Islamic Law, has been studied. In our thesis, Surah Talaq from the tafsir called Ahkâmü'l-Kur'an of Cessâs (d.370), one of the important names of Hanafi jurisprudence, lived in Baghdad and its environs, and the one from el-Câmi'u-Ahkâmi'l-Kur'ân tafsir of Kurtubî (d.670), one of the great Andalusian scholars who adopted the Maliki sect, have been comparatively discussed. In the introduction, the subject, scope, purpose, method and importance of the research are explained; then, information about tafsir and thematic tafsir is given. In the first chapter, information is given about the authors and works of the tafsirs based on the thesis; Surah Talaq is introduced. In the second chapter, interrelated verses in Surah Talaq are interpreted by discussing under the relevant subject headings. In the conclusion, the general evaluations reached are given.
