A study of Çetin Öner's stories in terms of children literature and contribution to Turkish education

This study addresses life, literary identity, style and stories in children's literature of Cetin Oner, a writer who had works on children's literature. The stories which were selected among Oner's works were read regarding the elements of children's literature, and were studied in aspect of shape and meaning. For its shape, the design of book covers, size, pictures, articles writing design and page layout were studied. For it's meaning, the subject, main theme, characters, conflicts, environment (place and time), language and expression and vocabulary aspect were studied and mentioned about its contribution to the Turkish education. This study is a descriptive study. The study based on the survey model of investigating documents. The study concludes with Oner's children's literature books are a necessary source for Turkish education.
