Abstract (EN)
Rapid urbanization, excessive population growth, uncontrolled consumption of resources, fossil fuel use, waste products cause environmental problems and disrupt the ecological balance. Considering the share of artificial environments created as a result of human activities in environmental pollution, the importance of producing an environmentally sustainable structure emerges. Protecting the natural environment is possible by designing environmentally sensitive, sustainable, ecological and energy efficient structures. In the building; Providing climatic comfort naturally, reducing artificial system load, energy consumption and waste generation, efficient use of resources and protecting human health largely depend on the decisions taken in architectural design. In the study; First of all, building design parameters that affect the environ-mental sustainability, energy consumption and waste production of a building were determined. By associating the physical environment data with the design parame-ters, a model table was created that aims to produce environmentally friendly buil-dings that are suitable for the climate, consume less energy, produce less waste and are sensitive to the environment. The data of the existing buildings in the study areas were transferred to the model table and the environmental sustainability of the buil-dings was evaluated in accordance with the criteria. As a result of the evaluation; It has been determined that the parameters of the building, which complies with the climatic data of the region, consumes less energy and produces less waste, were not taken into account during the design phase and environmental sustainability was adversely affected.
