Abstract (EN)

In In this study, Chamaenerion angustifolium is taxonomicaly evaluated using a comprehensive set of morphological and palynological data inferred from numerous Turkish specimens. Principal component and cluster analysis based on morphological (25 variable) and (6 variable) palynological traits revealed that apoporium length, annulus length, filament length, petal length, leaf length, pore base width, petal width and petal colour are among the most valuable character for the infraspecific taxonomy of C. angustifolium. The analyses also revealed that palynological characters are more effective than morphological once in delimitation of C. angustifolium at infraspecific level. Furthermore, a comprehensive morphological and palynological diagnostic and functional key together with the distribution of C. angustifolium at infraspecific level in Türkiye is presented for the first time in the present study. This study provides a significant contribution to the taxonomy of C. angustifolium at infraspecific level and gaps for the Illustrated Flora of Türkiye in the future.
