Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, with the advancement of technology, the power performance rates of the vehicles increase and this increases the cost of diesel fuel usage and also causes the pollution of diesel vehicles to become more obvious. Therefore it, the manufacturers' made research as the use of alternative fuels in diesel fuel engines has been brought to agenda the use of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) as fuel in vehicles. LPG's availability and storage conditions are easy, low cost, exhaust emissions are low compared to other fuels, making it an attractive alternative to diesel engines. In this study; pure diesel fuel and 5%, 10%, 20% and 40% by mixing with LPG ; engine performance, combustion parameters and their effects on exhaust emissions were compared experimentally. In addition, the effects of LPG40 fuel on combustion parameters were investigated by using different compression ratios. When 40% LPG was used at different compression ratios, the compression pressure, the cylinder pressure, the average gas temperature and the rate of heat release increased. In the made comparison results;. In the normal compression ratios; As LPG usage increased, cylinder pressure, average gas temperature (MGT) and heat release rate (HRR) decreased. In addition, in different compression and diesel + LPG utilization rates; The CO emissions have increased due to the increase in the use of different LPG and compression rates
