This study aims to examine the effects of upbringing on attachment styles as well as its relation to people's anxiety and satisfaction with life which they experience in romantic relationships. Within the scope of the study, the relation and differentiation levels among the variables are evaluated by analysing the data of 192 students in undergraduate and master's programs who have been in a romantic relationship for at least three months. Then, the participants were asked to answer the questions in "Sociodemographic Information Form" prepared by the researcher to collect data about the variables such as gender, age the place where childhood is spent, childhood caregiver, the number of the siblings and the duration of the relationship. After that the participants were given "Parental Attitude Inventory" developed by Yıldız Kuzgun to evaluate participants' parents' attitude, "The Relationship Scales Questionnaire" adapted to Turkish by Sümer and Güngör (1999) to evaluate participants' attachment styles, "Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised (ECR-R)" validity and reliability of which are tested by Selçuk and his friends (2005) to evaluate the participants' romantic relationships, the items about trait anxiety in "Situational and Trait Anxiety Inventory" adapted to Turkish in 1985 by Öner and LeCompte to measure trait anxiety and finally "Satisfaction with Life Scale (SLS)" to measure their satisfaction with life. The statistical analysis of the study is conducted via SPSS 23 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). As a result of the statistical analysis of the data obtained from the study, meaningful relations are found between the sociodemographic variables and anxiety and satisfaction with life in romantic relationships. In parallel with the results, while, between parental attitude and and anxiety experienced in romantic relationships, an intermediary role of the former is found, between this type of attitude and satisfaction with life, such a role of it is not found.
