The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of the Philosophy Education Program for Children on the listening skills of preschool children. The sample of the study consists of a total of 45 children, 22 of whom are experimental and 23 control, in a kindergarten with a middle socioeconomic level in the Şehitkamil district of Gaziantep province. Within the scope of the research, the Philosophy Education Program for Children, which was prepared by the researcher in line with the achievements and indicators of the MEB(2013) Pre-School Education Program, for 21 sessions, 3 days a week, in a 7-week period, was applied, while in the control group, no application was carried out by the researcher and the normal education programs were not implemented. they continued. The data of the study were collected using the 'Listening Skills Assessment Scale for Preschool Children' developed by Özer Özkan and Coşkun (2015). In the analysis of data; Mann Whitney U test was used to determine the difference between the experimental and control groups, and the Wilcoxon t-test was used to determine the differences between the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental and control groups. While it was determined that the Philosophy Education Program for Children, which was prepared in the light of the findings of the research, had a significant effect on listening skills, no significant difference was found depending on the gender variable.
