Abstract (EN)

In this study, processes involving different combinations of multi-directional forging (MDF) and aging steps were applied to the Cu2NiSiCr alloy. The microstructural, mechanical, and tribological property changes that occur after different process steps in the microstructure of the alloy were systematically examined. According to the obtained results, it was seen that the changes in the structure of the alloy were due to MDF and aging steps (Process-4), and the best mechanical and tribological properties were obtained after Process-4. As a matter of fact, after the condition identified as quenched and aging steps (Process-2), the hardness, yield, and tensile strength values of the alloy, elongation to failure, and electrical conductivity values were obtained as 278 Hv, 280 MPa, 448 MPa, 10.7%, and 40% IACS, respectively, while after the Process-4, these values reached to 342 Hv, 700 MPa, 747 MPa, 7%, and 33% IACS levels. This improvement in the mechanical properties of the alloy caused by MDF and aging processes has also brought about higher wear resistance. However, the wear resistance of both structures decreases with the applied current density.
