Teaching of writing skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic

The main purpose of this research is to determine the didactic views on the teaching of writing skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. In accordance with this purpose, In the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, 30 Turkish teachers working actively in different institutions and having different demographic characteristics were included in the study group of the research. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool in the study, in which the phenomenology pattern was adopted based on the qualitative approach. The prepared form was presented to the participants in the digital media due to the pandemic conditions, and content analysis was used in the analysis of the obtained data. Based on the data obtained from the research, it was concluded that the opportunities of the digital world for teaching writing skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language could not be fully utilized. In addition, it was concluded that web 2.0 tools are not sufficiently known and used effectively, there are limitations in terms of course materials and measurement-evaluation tools, and there are problems with interaction, feedback and digital competence in activities.
