Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the level of perception of Employee Health and Safety Culture of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic process. Healthcare workers working at Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital were included in the study. A total of 370 people participated in the study. Data was collected with a personal information form and Employee Health and Safety Culture Scale. Considering the mean scores, it was seen that the perception of health and safety culture of the employees was high. The mean Infection prevention scale score of the participants was 3.8±.73, the mean Management screening scale score was 3.26±.71, the mean Health screening scale score was 3.27±.81, and the mean Chemical substance safety scale score was 3.63±.80, The average safety trainings scale score is 3.39±.85, the average violence prevention scale score is 3.03±.98, the average food safety scale score is 3.16±.98, the average fall prevention scale score is 3.36±.98 and the average Total Scale score is 3.4±.65. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained from our study, the management screening and safety training scores of high school graduates were higher than those of postgraduate graduates, the health screening score of associate degree graduates was higher than that of postgraduate graduates, the chemical substance safety score of high school graduates was higher than that of associate degree and postgraduate graduates, It was observed that the violence prevention score of health care workers with postgraduate degrees was lower than the other graduate groups, the violence prevention score of health care workers with associate degree was higher than that of undergraduate graduates, and the fall prevention score of health care workers with associate degree was higher than that of postgraduate graduates. As a result, in order to create a healthy working environment, it is recommended that healthcare professionals' perceptions of employee health and safety culture should be determined, the factors affecting this perception should be determined and necessary precautions should be taken.
