Özet (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine the sources of resilience, which is defined as the ability of police officers to successfully return to normal functionality despite challenging living conditions in the Covid-19 process, multi-directionally in terms of risk factors, protective factors and positive results. The phenomenological approach, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. 14 police officers, 4 women and 10 men, aged between 26 and 45, and police chief participated in the research by writing diaries. Interviews were conducted with 6 police officers, 3 women and 3 men that are selected from the participants who wrote diaries in the second stage. Research data were collected in April 2020 and March 2021. The diaries that are written by participants and the data that is obtained from the interviews made by semi-structured form were subjected to content analysis with "MaxQDA-12" software. The codes concentrate on sub-themes of individual risk factors and individual protective factors. The obtained findings show that individuals with low resiliency levels are more negatively affected from this process. In addition, it was observed according to the results of the study that the sources of resilience of the police officers show a structure related to the literature.
