Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to examine the mediating role of technology use in the effect of the Covid 19 pandemic, which emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and affected the whole world and caused all the habits of our lives to change, and the new normal order experienced afterwards on destination choice and revisit tendency, which are important sub-dimensions of tourism. In this regard, using the convenience sampling technique, a face-to-face survey was conducted with 461 randomly selected domestic tourists who visited Gaziantep for touristic purposes and purchased accommodation services between December 2022 and May 2023. In the questionnaire form, Personal Information Form consisting of 9 items to determine the demographic characteristics of the participants, Kabadayı and Kardeş's (2020) 20-item post Covid 19 Pandemic Impact Scale, Özersin's (2019) 17-item Destination Choice and 3-item Revisit Tendency Scale, Kotler (2003), Lopez (2011), Kim and Ko (2012), Hu and Wei (2013), Curkan (2013), Hays (2013), Hays (2013), Zivkovic (2014) and adapted into Turkish by Destici (2020). Quantitative research method was used in the study and SPSS 25.0 computer package program was used for data analysis. As a result of the research, the study is expected to make significant contributions to the relevant literature and future studies. Because the study revealed the mediating effect of technology use on destination choice and revisiting tendencies in the post-pandemic period. However, since the study focuses on accommodation establishments specific to Gaziantep province, the applicability of the findings obtained throughout Turkey is limited. Future studies to be conducted in different cities and in various areas of the tourism sector are expected to increase the number of participants and the scope of sampling and increase the generalizability of the research results.
