The transcription and evaluation of the coursebook entitled Malumat-i Vataniye to the children of the republic

The aim of this study is to transcribe and evaluate the textbooks named Malumat-ı Vataniye 4-5 for the Children of the Republic, written by Muslihiddin Adil Taylan in 1926 to be taught in the 4th and 5th grades of primary schools in the early periods of the Republic. The books of "Cumhuriyet Çocuklarına Malumat-ı Vataniye 4-5" were first transferred to the new script and then resolved by the order of the subjects in the books. The study was evaluated whether the subjects were handled from easy to difficulty, to what extent the books contribute to the knowledge and skills of the students and reflect the characteristics of the Republican society. Document analysis model, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The texts in the books were first transferred to Turkish in accordance with the translation writing qualifications and then analyzed within the scope of the research. As a result of the evaluations, it was seen that the subjects in the books of "Cumhuriyet Çocuklarına Malumat-ı Vataniye 4-5", which was prepared for the 4th and 5th grade primary school students, were handled from simple to complex, from easy to hard and from private to. In addition, it can be said that the books have successful examples in terms of developing the basic abilities of the audience and reflecting the social qualities envisaged by the young republic.
