Abstract (EN)
The Soviet Union has represented a significant place on the nation's foreign policy since the foundation of Turkish Republic. This case is partly about both states appeared in the history by campaigning against both their old gubernation and the same occupant states. This feature and similarity has led to make these two countries allied. The basic principles that Turkish Republic based on are protecting Turkey's territorial integrity and freedom without giving any concession, making friendship with all countries, especially with neighbouring countries and providing the peace and welfare of Turkish nation. In this study, it is going to be handled how Turkish Republic used its position as being an equilibrant and a key country among great powers in a period that it has many problems in terms of military and economic, especially relationships with Soviet Union is going to be evaluated in detail.
