Abstract (EN)
In this study, the life, understanding of art and selected poems of five female poets, Didem Madak, Lale Müldür, Gülten Akın, Nilgün Marmara, Birhan Keskin, who continued their literary lives in the post-Republican phase of Turkish literature and struggled to have their identities accepted, were discussed, and the concepts and images were discussed. Their usage related to "sea" has been evaluated. In the First Chapter, the Introduction, information is given about the female identity that nourishes the poets' understanding of poetry. In the Second Chapter, the conceptual area of the sea, its place in mythology and its importance for humans are touched upon. In the Third Chapter, information about the lives of women poets and the universe of poetry is given. In the Fourth Chapter, the analysis of women poets' poems containing "sea" images was made through the perception of the sea. In the Conclusion part of the thesis, the commonalities and differences of sea perception in poets are mentioned and general evaluations are made. Keywords: Turkish women poets, poetry, sea, image.
