Abstract (EN)

In this study, it has been tried to determine the germination percentege of seeds of laurel according to some pretreatments by romoving the germination obstacles of the laurel seeds which had been picked from the Dilek Peminsula National Park located in the provincial borders of Aydın. In the study, in different gibberalic acid dusts the effects of Laurel type's seeds in open area and greenhouse conditions are searched. The seeds of the study were picked on September, 2014 and were prepared for planting in October. Before plantation the seeds were taken into cold strarification (+40C) for 45 days. The viols which have 70 divisions (42 cc) were filled with the mixture of torf and perlit (3:1).After 45 days, the seeds taken from stratification were planted in the depth of twice as much a seed. In the following day of the plantation, gibbrelic acid is planted in three different doses (500 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm) to three different seeds an one seed is not given anything. This process is applied to both open area and greenhouse at the same day. The same processes were one thrice. The ambient temperature of the seeds in the greenhouse is arranged as 220C and ambient air humidity is arranged as 75%. The seeds were counted in the following 4th, 7th, 10th, 14th, 21st, 28th and 35th days. The highest germination percentage in the greenhouse conditions is acquired from the seeds given 1000 ppm GA3. Similiary, the highest germination percentage in open area plantation is acquired from the seeds given 1000 ppm GA3. On the other hand, in greenhouse conditions the highest germination speed is seen on the seeds given 1500 ppm GA3 and the lowest germination speed is seen on the seed which was a 'control'(not given anything). Finally, in the open area conditions, the highest germination speed is seen on the seeds given 500 ppm GA3, the lowest germination level is seen on the seed which was a 'control'.
