Abstract (EN)

After World War II democratization movements occurring in the world has affected Turkey. The transition to a multi-party system was achieved with the request of the president İsmet İnönü. The process of transition to multi-party was realized by the establishment of the Democratic Party by Celal Bayar, Adnan Menderes, Refik Koraltan, and Fuat Köprülü, who came from the Republican People's Party itself. The Democratic Party (DP), which won shortlived support, won the elections of 1950 by destroying the power of the 27-year Republican People's Party (CHP). In the first four years of his administration, the Democratic Party has seriously improved the country with the reforms it has made both in democratization and in agriculture and in the economy. As a result, every part of the people reached economical prosperity and his returned to the DP government as votes in the elections. However, after 1954, as aresult of the worsening weather conditions, the economy was negatively affected, the developments in the country ended out after the seize control of the military on May 27, 1960.
