Abstract (EN)

Industrial activities are the basic building blocks of the economy. Many natural resources are needed while carrying out industrial activities. Water is one of these consumed resources. In order to protect our limited water resources, it is necessary to eliminate or minimize pollution while carrying out industrial activities. In this context, industrial wastewater should be treated effectively and reused in facilities at the highest level possible. In this study, the current situation of the processes in the central wastewater treatment plant, which carries out industrial and domestic wastewater treatment in Denizli Organized Industrial Zone, is evaluated and information is given about the efficiency of unit operation and processes that can be alternatives for the removal of pollutants. In order to reveal the overall efficiency of the plant processes, COD, TSS, TP, TN, and Color analyzes were performed on samples taken from five different points on three different dates. According to the analysis results, approximate 88% COD, 83% TSS, 26% TP, 83% TN, and 86% Color removal efficiency were obtained throughout the facility. As a result, limit values specified in the legislation can be easily achieved even with physical and biological treatment processes without applying chemical treatment in Denizli Organized Industrial Zone Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. When the treatment efficiencies of the processes in the facility are compared with the process efficiencies that can be alternative, it is seen that they have very high efficiencies.
