Abstract (EN)

Shoring systems in deep excavations, one of the most important applications in the field of geotechnical engineering; These are the methods applied frequently in the world and in our country. In the projects developed recently in the construction sector, mostly deep excavation is done due to the need for space and shoring systems are needed. Shoring systems that can be applied according to ground types and working area conditions are developed and deep excavations are made safely. In this thesis, in the deep excavation to be made for the building of Istanbul-BASF Technopark Innovation Center; Bored piled and anchored shoring system was determined and numerical analysis was done. Plaxis 2D computer program was used for numerical analysis. The depth of the excavation in the study is 9m. As the retaining system; Three separate systems have been chosen, including forec pile, single row anchorage and two rows of anchored bored piles. The bored pile diameter selected in these three systems is 50cm and its length is 13m. First, the model of the bored pile retaining section was created and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the total horizontal displacement value was found to be 51.22mm. Horizontal displacement value in terms of the stability of the retaining system; For horizontal supported systems, the depth of the final excavation should be between 22.5mm at 2.5 per thousand and 45mm at 5 per thousand. As the total horizontal displacement of the bored piled retaining section exceeded these limit values, it was determined that there was no suitable retaining system for excavation. Then, a single row anchored bored piled shoring section model was created and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, total horizontal displacement was found 46.57mm. It was determined that this shoring section was not suitable for excavation as the horizontal displacement found was exceeded. Finally, two rows of anchored bored pile shoring sections were analyzed. As a result of the analysis of this section, total horizontal displacement was found 41.45mm. As the displacement value of this shoring section is between the limit values, it is determined that it is a suitable shoring system for excavation.
