Examining the function of the republic relations of the state forest managership (Sürmene State Forest District (S.F.D.) as an example here)

The ami of this study, ( Sürmene State Forest District( S.F.D) as an example here) is to examine the function of the public relations of the State Forest Managership. The relations of S.F.D in general and especially those of Stttmene S.F.D with several communities have been assessed in a perspective of public relations. It has been tried to find proper solutions for different problems. The development of public relations in the world and in our country has been surveyed. In the S.F.D, the public relations are considered as suitable for mentality of contemporary forestry. The aim, the importance and file comprehension of public relations in forestry and the effects of public relations on productivity has been discussed. The study consists of the questionnaires about public relations which have been prepared with forest village residents, forest workers, forest village headmen, imumen and carpenter's workshop owners, municipalities, lumber traders and district staff. The equivalent distribution of questionnaire has been cared, and the findings have been evaluated by chi-square and percentage analysis methods» hi this assessment: me insufficient income of forest village residents, thus me ongoing migration, the priority of possession problems and the inadequate education of district staff and workers have s been emphasised mconchision,theinsuffidencyofpublic relations in Sürmene S.F.D and closeness of forests and living centres in research areas have showed us the significant situation of public relations. To develop public relations into a better level the necessity of supplying m acceleration to public-informing studies and the necessity of some changes in law to solve the forestry problems in Eastern Blacksea Region, have been understood. A new constructive is necessary due to arranging flie relationships wiflifliegroups-m Forest Districts.
