Folk culture; as a reflection of the society's common memory and the values it has acquired, has a broad structure. The traditions and beliefs that are passed down from generation to generation shape the main elements of this structure. Literary works, in this context, deeply examine folk culture and are among the important sources that provide information about past lives. The work called "Devname" contributes to the understanding of the legends told on the belief in jinn through the concepts of tekin and tekinsizlik. The text written in Old Anatolian Turkish was translated into Türkiye Turkish and examined in detail. The belief that demons are supernatural beings, associated with uncanny places and that they harm people is a common subject in many cultures. The presence of information about jinn in the Quran and hadith has led to this issue becoming a deep-rooted belief among the people. At this point, the places they are in and the types of jinn they are in have become a subject of interest.
