Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out in plantation areas which were established with black pine and scotch pine species, they were established by changing species between 1975-1984 in the Akçasu series in Akçasu Forest Range District. The aim of this research is to determine the growth performances and adaptation ağabeylities of species. Furthermore, growth relations some growing site factors (tenperature and rainfall) and species that were dominant in the region were explained. Therefore, a sum of 24 experimental areas which were determined with random sampling method in the 8 division in 2 altitude levels and 2 control division were selected.There were differences in age between species and individuals as the establishment phase of the plantation was realized in a wide interval period of time. Therefore, growth values belonging to 22 nd year which was the highest age in common were assesment in varianceanalyses. Statistical differences were not determined between species and level altitude in terms of single tree stem volume and volume increment. But, black pine was made more volume production and increment than scotch pine in the both level altitude. Accordingly black pine was produced to average 0,067 m3 volume and 0,0031 m3 volume increment. Thus scotch pine was produced to average 0,059 m3 volume and 0,0027 m3 volume increment.Black pine which is in the plantation is satisfactory level in terms of diameter, height and volume increment. But, both species were not unsuccesibled in terms of survival rate. Furthermore it was determined of black pine more sensitive to scotch pine in terms of growth to climatic change according to correlation analyses were made.Key Words : Black pine, scotch pine, afforestation, growth,climatic change, volume, volume increment.
