Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to determine prospective science teachers? status of using technology in scientific process and examine the impact of the factors leading to the emergence of the digital divide to usage status. In the study, a ?Scale of the Status of Using Technology in Scientific Process? consisting of 25 items in four sub dimensions including use information, experiment design and application, using scientific process skills, research and development was developed and used. A survey method was employed in this study. The sample of the study consisted of 232 prospective science teachers in Adıyaman University at the Faculty of Education. Data was gathered from ?Personal Information Form? and ?Scale of the Status of Using Technology in Scientific Process?. According to the results of the study, it was found that prospective teachers sometimes use the information and communication technologies in scientific process. The results show that prospective teachers? usage of information communication technologies in scientific process is negatively affected by digital divide. The prospective teachers who access information communication technologies use these technologies more in scientific process.
