The impacts of dijital technologies to the unique printmaking and new quests

Art, that has been existing since mankind exists, from the hand printings on the cave walls until today for getting power against the nature of people improved itself each passing day. Art has composed new phraseologies fuelling from the conditions in its current period. İmprovement of printmaking, a branch of art from the hand printings on the cave's walls to the Sumerian clay tablets and seals done with wooden maulds has been changed in AD 105 with the invention of paper in China and it has been founded today's printmaking. In the 15th century, with the invention of printing press of Gutenberg, a new epoch has been marked in the field of printmaking that makes progress in time, has been always in search of different techniques. Mechanisation, starting with the industrial revolution has been changed the life style so art has showed changes also. Unique printmaking in the modern art movement, has been used to Express the opinions of movements used as techniques and materials. With the 1960's, experimental searches have been done by using different materials and different techniques. By this way, the rules and limits used in copying unique printmaking have begun to soften. Beginning from the second half of 20th century with the existing of computer, it has been laid the base of digital printing at unique printing making. Artists adopted the digital art which was the new phraseology and with the years of 1990s, they began to use the digital art more. Besides, they have been in search of new pursuits with combining other printing techniques. Each passing day, printmaking which enhancing limitless production type has acquired a quite different dimension with digital printing by using materials and improving new techniques.
