Investigate of pesticide residues in Dim creek end Alara creek waters

Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, the development of industrialization and technology makes life easier and on the other hand, it decreases water resources due to environmental pollution. One of the most important pollutants of environment that brought along with industrialization and technology are pesticides. In this study, it was aimed to investigate pesticide residues in two of the important streams of Alanya and its surroundings, Dim Creek and Alara Creek waters. The intensity of agricultural activities in the region has led to the idea of investigating pesticide residues. For this purpose, a total of 8 sampling stations, 4 points in Dim Creek and 4 points in Alara Creek, were determined. In February, April and June, samples were taken from these points to represent the rainy and dry seasons. The extracted samples were extracted according to the Quechers Method and analyzed by injecting LC-MSMS and GC-MS. 84 of the 110 pesticides were read on LC-MSMS and 26 on GC-MS. As a result of study, Endosulfan, Malathion, Deltamethrin, Permethrin have been most observed in the water samples taken from Dim Creek. Endosulfan, Malathion, Deltamethrin, Permethrin Cypermethrin, Metribuzin have been most observed in the water samples taken from Alara Creek. Limits of detection and quantification, and recovery studies were carried out in the analysis studies. Limit of Detection (LOD) range from 0,23 to 9,67 ppb. The Limit of Quantification (LOQ) of 11 of the pesticides surveyed was higher than 10 ppb. The Limit of Quantification (LOQ) of the others, with acceptable performance, is 10 ppb. According to the results of the analysis, it was observed that the pesticide values determined were lower than the Limit of Quantification.
