Abstract (EN)
In this study, designs in triangular, square and hexagonal geometries were made on the body of the spur gear in order to minimize the weight of the gear wheel. In order to find the lightest gear wheel in these designs, designs with different edge lengths and filler thicknesses were made. Gear wheels were modeled separately in the Solidworks package program. Finite element analyzes of the gear wheels were performed with the ANSYS program. When all designs and analyzes were examined, the lightest gear in square geometry was reached. Compared to the solid gear wheel, the designed gear wheels achieved a significant reduction of 63.65%.
