Abstract (EN)

This study, includes sorting and evaluating the comparative word presence of Dîvânu Lugâti't-Turk and Uzbek Turkish in terms of sound and meaning. The aim of the study is to determine how much common words have changed and developed from the past to the present by comparing Dîvânu Lugâti't-Turk to Uzbek Turkish. In the study, first of all, Kaşgarlı Mahmud and DLT were mentioned and information about the period and content of this work was written. Then the history of Uzbek Turks, the region they lived in, the community they communicated with and the language characteristics were mentioned. Then included in the list general information about the content of the word presence that form the basis of our work. In the review section of the study, the word presence of DLT and Uzbek Turkish was examined comparatively. The comparison consists of seven groups. These are words that undergo sound change and sound change; words that are the same in sound and meaning; words that undergo meaning expansion; words that have gone through another meaning, words that have meaning healing, meaning worsening and meaning narrowing were studied. Numerical data are presented in the conclusion part of the words whose sound and meaning were analyzed.
