Özet (EN)
The aim of the study was to obtain data on the severity of long-term gait and balance effects of individuals who had undergone total knee arthroplasty, and to make objective evaluations with the obtained data. The study included 15 bilateral and 20 unilateral TKA subjects, and 30 healthy subjects in the control group. GHF550 FOOT CHECKER Pedobarographic Analyzer for pedabarographic measurements of the participants, SF-36 form to evaluate their quality of life, IPAQ form to evaluate their physical activity status, Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) to evaluate their dynamic balance status, WOMAC to evaluate pain status and to evaluate kinesiophobia TAMPA Kinesiophobia Scale was used. According to the statistical analysis, it was determined that the right midfoot pressure of the bilateral TKA group was higher than the control group (p<0,05). In the right foot stance phase control group, compared to the group underwent bilateral TKA; the right foot thrust phase was found to be higher in the bilateral TKA group compared to the control group (p<0,05). Compared to the control group, in the group with unilateral TKA left foot heel strike; the left foot thrust phase was found to be higher in the control group than in the group undergoing unilateral TKA (p<0,05). The group underwent unilateral TKA had higher physical function, energy and emotional well-being scores in the group undergoing bilateral TKA (p<0,05). The SF-36 health change score was significantly higher in the group undergoing unilateral TKA than in the control group (p<0,05). According to the results of the study, it is shown that the prosthesis affects people's lives positively, since the gait parameters of the individuals undergoing TKA are similar when compared to their healthy peers, and their health change status is higher than the control group.
