Investigation of DNA molecule symmetry operations with Clifford Algebra

Abstract (EN)

William Kingdon Clifford also combined the work of Hamilton and Grasmann and defined Geometric Algebra. Clifford published his algebra in 1878 in his "Applications of Grassmann's Extensive Algebra". With the publication of this study, it was realized that some quantities in physics could be represented with Clifford Algebra and that this representation would facilitate algebraic operations. Especially its applications in Electromagnetic Theory and Quantum Mechanics excited scientists. After the 1980s, especially the works of David Hestenes were guiding for the development of this algebra. The conveniences provided by computer software cannot be ignored. In this study, it was revealed that the dodecahedron structure formed by the DNA molecule in different alignment shapes and the reflection and symmetry operations of this molecule will be represented by Clifford Algebra. The aim of the thesis is to prove this proposition.
