Abstract (EN)

Disasters are severe events that have social, economic, physical, and psychological effects in the environment in which they occur. Anticipating disasters and determining the impact area of a disaster is very important in minimizing threats to the environment and human life. The aim of the thesis is to investigate different natural or human-induced disasters using DInSAR method, PS-InSAR method and change analysis developed based on InSAR method. 7 applications were made within the scope of the research. Investigations were made to determine the impact areas of disasters for 2015 Chile earthquake and tsunami, 2019 Peru earthquake in Loreto, Xiangshui chemical plant explosion, 2018 Sunda Strait tsunami in Indonesia and The Carr fire in California; In the vertical deformations in Konya Karapınar district and volcanisms in the Philippines Mayon Volcano, both the determination of the impact areas and the prediction studies were made. In the applications, 50 SAR images obtained from Sentinel-1 satellites with a wavelength of 5.6 cm (C-band) and the SARPROZ program developed by Perissin (2009) were used. As a result of study research, the outcomes which are obtained from those applications like DInSAR and PS-InSAR methods are efficient. However, the outcomes which are obtained from change analysis are at the level of applying along with datas that are obtained through different sources indicates that InSAR method can be used on researches on disaster.
