Abstract (EN)

With its local architectural features, Eastern Black Sea Region is one of the regions with high potential of rural tourism in Turkey. However, in addition to numerical insufficiency of rural tourism enterprises, there are also facilities that are not suitable for the architectural texture, threatening the natural components and architectural texture of the region. The topography and climate of the region, the supply of wood material used in the local architecture and the difficulties arising from sustaining local construction techniques are among the main reasons of this situation. In this study, it is aimed to examine the properties of the Wood-Concrete Composite (WCC/ABK) system, which is chosen as an industrial construction system that can be applied faster and more easily, which can be a solution to the need for accommodation facilities in the region, and to develop a fastener with high rigidity and composite efficiency value in the system elements. The study involves the analysis of WCC (ABK) system which is a construction system created by combining wood and concrete with different fasteners, the development of a new fastener (artificial notched joint) with the most ideal strength and rigidity among the fasteners used in this system, the experimental investigation of these fastener properties and the examination of the findings obtained. The results of the study are WCC systems can be used in the construction of wooden-based rural tourism facilities, artificial notched connection provides time, labor and resource conservation compared to notched connections, severe damage occurs to the concrete slab in the notched system, no damage to the concrete slab in artificial notched application, artificial notched connection is close composite efficiency with notched application.
