Wood anatomy of Crataegus L. taxa in the East Black Sea region of Turkey

Wood Anatomy of Crataegus L. Taxa in The East Black Sea Region In this study, it has been studied for finding out the anatomical properties of some taxa of Crataegus L. mat grown in the East Black Sea Region of Turkey. In order to determine anatomical properties of 6 taxa of this family, wood samples have been taken between 620 and 1450 metres of Gümüşhane, Artvin areas. Anatomical characteristics of wood taxa have been investigated. Anatomical structure in wood samples; vessels (their tangential and radial diameters, thickness of cell walls, longness of cell, their groups, logness of perforation plates, their number in 1mm2), rays (their numbers in 1mm2 and 1mm, their heigths and widths), fibres (their longness, widths, thickness of cell walls, lumen diameters), axial parenchyma, pith flecks (collus tissue) have been measured.
