Determination of antibiotics sensitivity of isolated from cage managements in Eastern Blacksea region

Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, fish and sediment samples were taken from the sea cages in Ordu (Perşembe) and Trabzon (Yomra) and freshwater cage in Gümüşhane (Kürtün) on November 2015 and June 2016. Two cages were selected in each station and sediment sampled 1 kilometer away from the cages. Antibiotics resistance and Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) of the bacteria that isolated from fish and sediment were evaluated. While Escherichia coli (n: 64) and Enterococcus spp. (n:75) were isolated from sediment samples, Lactococcus garvieae (n:24) was isolated from fish. According to antibiogram test results, Escherichia coli had significant resistant to tetracycline and gentamisine antibiotics and the most effective antibiotics were determined as enrofloksasin and florphenical. Enterococcus spp. were highly resistant to enrofloksasin and tetrasiklin, eritrominise was the most effective antibiotic. L. garvieae which were isolated from fish showed highest resistant to Trimethoprim+Sulphamethoxazol and gentamisin, meanwhile the most effective antibiotics were determined as tetrasiklin, amoksisilin, enrofloksasin, florfenikol and eritromisine. According to MIC test results, E. coli were highly resistant to vancomisin and penicillin. meanwhile Enterococcus spp. were resistant to enrofloksasin and penicillin. Lastly, L. garvieae that isolated from fish were resistant to Trimethoprim+Sulphamethoxazol. It has been determined that excessive and unnecessary use of antibiotics may cause significant increases in antibiotic resistance of bacteria in the aquatic ecosystem.
